Increasing Security on the Allotment

Beefing Up Security

Down to the plot where I met up with the rep, Lawrence, and we beefed up site security a bit. For legal reasons I will skirt over the exact measures taken from the Viet Cong book of Man Traps.

We then had a long discussion about the allotment association and I realised nearly two hours had swept by.

Compost Heap

Finished the compost heap layer cake. Yummy horse manure instead of jam and crunchy comfrey instead of cream. My own sponge cake!

Six o’clock arrived and, being so thirsty I was seeing cups of tea in the heat haze, I headed home.

Tomato Processing

Some 8 lbs (3.6287 KG) of tomatoes were duly skinned, simmered and Val froze our instant cooking tomato sauce base.
