Converting Garden Waste into Useful Compost

Just a quick trip to the plot to deliver some garden waste to be turned into useful compost.  The garden flowers are beginning to die off – so finally they prove useful! (If the boss reads this I’ll have bruises again)

The spent compost from the hanging baskets and pots will all benefit the plot.

Harvested the last 3 sweetcorn – left about a third of one for Percy Pigeon. He may as well finish it. Then a pound or so of very nice strawberries, couple of cucumber and half a carrier bag of plum tomatoes.

I tend to measure produce in carrier bags and keep a bag full of bags in the allotment shed.

Soon it will be time to harvest the maincrop potatoes – that’s a big job. Took a look at my giant pumpkin… may need to hire a crane for that.
