Moving Leafmould in the Rain

A couple of hours on the plot.

The rain let off this afternoon, so down to the plot where, as I feared, the ground was sodden.

Still, I wasn’t the only one on the site. Had a chat with a few people before starting to do some work. Part of the discussion was about what variety of rice to plant inour paddy fields!

I also managed to get a few more photographs.

Chippings and Leaves

The rule is ‘first come, first served’ so no complaints that most of the chippings and half of the leaves have gone already. Must be quicker.

Leafmould

Started emptying the leafmould bin on plot 5. Got about 8 barrow loads spread on the plot when the rain came back. So trudged home with heavy boots due to the mud caking them. It was hard work moving the wheelbarrow as the mud on the path made it a little like ice skating.
