Growing Fruit on Allotments

New Fruit Growing Section

Since more and more people are getting into fruit growing now I thought I’d best start and put some information into the advice section on the site. We’ve had the fruit section in the allotment shop for some time and that’s been recently updated – see Fruit Trees & Bushes – but nothing in the help. So I’ve started with a bang, thanks to Carol Klein.

Carol has published a new book with the Royal Horticultural Society which is really quite excellent and we’ve been allowed to publish an extract from it on the site – Grow Your Own Peaches & Nectarines.

I’ll be adding much more to this and the other advice sections later this year.

Book To Win!

We’ve also got a copy of the book to give away so it’s a prize in the recipe competition on the site – we’re after soft fruit recipes and the best will go onto the recipe pages.

Recipe Competition – go on, have a go! They’re more a bit of fun than anything else so don’t be afraid.
