Raspberry Buns Recipe submitted by Jan McGeachie
These raspberry buns are very quick and easy to make and will go down well with the whole family. Children love helping to make these.
Ingredients for Raspberry Buns:
- 8oz self raising flour
- 1tps baking powder
- 3oz butter
- 3oz sugar
- Egg
- Milk
Method for Raspberry Buns :
- Sift flour with baking powder. Rub in butter and sugar. Mix to a stiff dough with egg and milk.
- Divide into ten portions. Roll into balls. Make a hole in each and put in jam. Then close the dough and remould into a ball.
- Place on baking tray. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
- Cook for 20 minutes at 200°C.
Made these for my children which love them, ended up putting then on my nursery menu. Kids love them.
