Last month I planted a dozen little gem in the small greenhouse and they're almost ready now.

There's another 8 in the main greenhouse so the problem is what to do with them all!

Rhubarb and Globe Artichokes

Here on plot 29 the rhubarb is storing up the last of the season's sunshine before winter hits and the globe artichokes will die off as well.

Does show that, in hindsight, I planted them a little too closely which is a shame as they're both permanent fixtures.

Compost Bins on Plot 29

The left hand bin is in the process of being emptied and the right hand bin is being filled.

When the compost is emptied from the left hand bin, the material from the right will be moved into it, mixing it up and re-starting decomposition.

The bag to the left is rotten and slug munched potatoes which will be thrown away.

I've still got a few tomato plants in the main greenhouse and hopefully we'll have a couple of weeks yet to ripen the fruit off.

Underplanted with lettuce to the front of the border.
