Effortlessly cultivated, Larini is a versatile green that can be harvested at an early stage, (around 30 days!) developed as a baby leaf lettuce. Enjoy it either on its own or blend it with other greens for a delightful mixed salad. Alternatively, if allowed to grow, Larini develops a sizeable head akin to the salad bowl lettuce.
Regularly picking the outer leaves ensures a continuous supply of fresh greens. Noteworthy for its high mildew resistance, Larini is best savoured when sown in a shallow tray, relishing its youth.
Larini thrives both in the ground and in pots, handling compact sowings adeptly for multiple harvests. Suitable for year-round cultivation, provided protective measures are taken. Winter sowings, in particular, benefit from tray sowings to facilitate short leaf harvests.
Sow from March through July and harvest from a month after sowing.
