Very few gardens are without a lawn yet most gardeners give them little thought. They drag out the mower in the Spring and scalp the turf every Sunday like a religious ritual. The mowings are dropped into the compost bin or even into the dustbin taking with them the nutrients that have grown the grass.
The Perfect Lawn
No wonder so many lawns end up a greenish patch of weeds with puddles and mud in the winter and brown parched deserts in the summer criss-crossed with cracks.
Yet a good looking lawn provides the perfect canvass on which to paint the flower borders and bushes. A lawn is the carpet for those rare summer days when family and neighbours gather around the barbeque and the it’s the football pitch or cricket ground where the children do their best to turn it into a sea of mud.
With a little extra care, the lawn can be something to be proud of. Practical and decorative at the same time.
Hopefully these articles will provide some help and allow you to have the lawn you want without more than a little extra effort.
