If you're faced with an orchard full of apples and pears that you want to turn into fruit juice or cider, then you'll find a fruit press and crusher invaluable.
Crushers are basically mincers which prepare the fruit for pressing. In tests cutting 30 apples into quarters and putting them straight in the press produced 350ml of juice, but running the same amount of quartered apples through a crusher first produced a whopping 1600ml of fresh juice - an increase of 357%!
The larger the press, the more fruit they can cope with. You'll also find filter / straining bags of value as they keep pips, seeds and other plant material you don't want getting into the fruit juice.
