Eclipse Smoke, Heatwave Peaked

Eclipse day was when the heatwave peaked here, although 30 degrees was mild compare to much of the UK. Smoke drifting up from the south.

I don’t think I’ve ever had so good a yield per square foot as I have had from my onions this year. Squashes doing very well, too.

If droughts will be more frequent, gardeners will need to adapt their growing to cope. Some thoughts on what to do and how.
