The reason I haven’t posted for a while is the death of my father. I’ve been staying with family in Oxfordshire.
Immediately prior to his death on the 22nd October 2005 aged 77 years, my father was in Katharine House Hospice, who gave him and our family wonderful care and attention.
During his illness he had support from Macmillan nurses who were also wonderful.
The funeral, on the 27th October, was a civil ceremony as per his wishes and was conducted by Jill Brand, the registrar. She was a great support to us and we gave my father a dignified and personal funeral that was a comfort to us.
