Emptied Compost Bin and Mouse on the Plot

The flood from yesterdays rain has receded but the soil is still sodden.

So, after a ‘brief’ chat with Steve on plot 2 who is digging a drainage ditch, decided there was only one thing to do.

Emptied one of the compost bins on plot 5 – onto the potato bed – and started moving the unrotted stuff from the other bin into the first bin along with a lot of turkey litter.

Hope it will be dry enough to do more with on Saturday.

The robin was around but no sign of the mouse I scared yesterday.

Dropped onto the site yeserday and started moving some weeds when this terrified little mouse lept up and ran away. It started raining so back home sharpish.

I love the feeling of being part of nature that comes when I’m alone on the site.
