Blanching Beans and a Welcome Party on the Plot

Shlightly sozzled on the plot!

The day started with blanching the rest of the beans from last night – Three hours of pottering around with boiling water, cooling water and freezer bags.

Then a serious discussion about the fact that we have:

  • 1 Chest Freezer

  • 1 Fridge Freezer

  • 1 Tall Freezer

And they are getting full!

Down to the plot around 3pm where the new people are doing a brilliant job of clearing their new plot. Their kids were helping as well! Had a chat as they were leaving then onto plot 5

Goodbye bean tipis

Since we have more than enough beans and we want the tomatoes to ripen, removed the last three tipis.

It seems criminal when they could be producing tons more but we have more than we need and we do need the tomatoes. So onto the compost heap.

Then the people on the plot opposite 5 turned up and I joined them for a chat and a couple of cans of lager. Hence the title for today. Not very productive thereafter but very pleasant.
