Yellow Mini Squash and Climbing French Beans

Where did those come from?

Down to plot 5 and found loads of the climbing French beans have produced quite a few beans overnight – I’m sure they weren’t there yesterday.

Anyway harvested those and then the yellow mini squashes that were fast becoming maxi squash! Laid them on the table to cure.

Over on plot 29 we started harvesting the late planted broad beans. Really nice beans and long pods too.

Decided we had a choice over the primo cabbages – harvest or leave them to be slug food. A couple had started to go rotten – thanks slugs.

Took some photos which I will upload tomorrow.

Back to the ranch where 2 hours on the plot produced 3 hours of preparation and blanching. The upstairs chest freezer is half full and the harvest has just started.
