As you may know, if you are a regular reader of my diary, this year I’ve been growing tomatoes and lettuce sent to me by my friend Gloria in Canada. I don’t know if I mentioned, but Gloria sent me seeds she had saved herself.
Why pay for something you can get easily for free? Often because you don’t realise how easy it is for many things to save your own seed.
Unfortunately I’m really busy what with the plot and needing to make a living. Shame I can’t get a lottery grant to do just what I want, but they tell me that if I don’t buy a ticket, I’ve no chance at all! So no time to put everything I’d like onto the site.
This is followed with a basic general guide on how to save your own seeds and what species are suitable for saving.
