It’s a large format heavyweight with 760 pages crammed full of useful information with excellent full colour photographs that are illustrative not decorative.
I’d suggest the way to tackle this book is to skim through it and then read the sections you’re interested in although you’ll find yourself drawn into areas of gardening you didn’t think you were interested in!
It starts, logically, with garden design and moves along covering nearly any gardening topic you can think of. It’s a must have for any keen gardener and especially useful for those studying horticulture.
It’s not a cheap book but considering the earlier edition helped us for 20 years, it’s a bargain!
