Dwarf French Bean Seeds - Rocquencourt

Rob says: These beans, bred in France in the 1840s, form small bush-style plants. They are more cold hardy than most other varieties, so can be sown a few weeks earlier than others, and will crop for a few weeks later too. The beans are a waxy, yellow colour. Best picked young when they still have a flush of green on them, they have a fresh buttery flavour. As the beans are yellow and plants are short, they are easy to spot and easy to pick, ideal in containers or in front of taller crops. Try blanching a few and tossing them in your favourite salad for a bit of added crunch.
