Plum Trees

If you are going to plant a tree or bush, then it is going to be there for many years. It's well worth spending some time looking at the different varieties and going for one that will be productive and providing you with a good crop in years to come.

Time spent to prepare the ground properly will repay you many times over. Don't forget to stake the tree for the first few years and protect against rabbits.

Plum President

Traditional late-cropping plum A heavy-cropping, large purple-blue skinned, yellow-fleshed plum raised at the start of the 20th century in Hertfordshire. For a long time it was one of the latest ripening plums and provided fresh plums when many other varieties had finished. Fantastic for both eating fresh and cooking, it can be found in most old gardens and orchards throughout England. Supplied in a 9 litre pot bag.

Plum Marjorie's Seedling

Large, juicy fruit Produces good crops of large, juicy, purple-blue fruits in autumn. They're good eating plums but they come into their own as cookers and make the best plum jam, plum tarts, or stewed plums. A self fertile variety, it does not need to be planted with another plum to produce reliable crops, and its resistance to plum bacterial canker is an added bonus. Supplied in a 9 litre pot bag.
