Greenhouse Building Help from Friends

Greenhouse Raising Continues

Saturday was wonderful – pouring rain and high winds for the most part. Larry called round just as it was going dark to tell me the greenhouse looked a bit askew. He’s a cheerful soul ? we’re doomed I tell you! I spent the day on the computer and finished phase one of the major web site I’ve been working on. More on that later this week.

Round to the plot about 1pm and it wasn’t too bad. A few nuts and bolts had come loose so there were a few floating bars and things were looking a little drunk. Johnny from plot 28 came over and Larry arrived soon after. Much muttering, undoing and doing, realising the front bars were different from the rear and swapping over took place. By 5pm it was ready for glazing and I was ready for home. Moved the glass from plot 5 to plot 29, had a sit down and chat with Johnny and it was suddenly six thirty.

Plan is to buy some of the little bits that hold the glass in and get glazing on Thursday.

All joking aside, without their help, I really don’t think it would have ever got up.
